J.H. Patton & The Good Companions is a Michigan-based rock group formed in early 2023 when guitarist and songwriter J.H. Patton returned to his home state and teamed up with longtime collaborator Kurtis Young (bass, vocals) and drummer Peter Shutt. Together they’ve built a sound that blends melodic basslines, vocal harmonies, and sharp rhythms, showcased on their two EPs—Live from Dogtown and California Green.
