Remember those Scholastic Book Fairs from your childhood? We think upon those events with a certain fondness, and we are aiming to recreate them… but for grown ups with adult beverages and conversation with fellow book nerds!

This time around we are focusing on all things spooky and macabre. Books & Mortar will be set up in the brewery and slinging books from 2-6pm. If you attended our last book fair then you know this will be an awesome event with an amazingly curated selection!

Audrey Pearson is a West Michigan based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and music teacher with a mission to inspire others. Her unique style of indie-folk has been compared to that of artists like Norah Jones, Florence and the Machine, Linda Ronstadt and Billie Eilish.

Monte Pride is a Michigan-born and based singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist whose music recalls the delicate vocals of Simon & Garfunkel, with guitar-work reminiscent of The Tallest Man On Earth and early Joni Mitchell. Paired with electric, ambient soundscapes, he blends haunting melodies with vivid lyricism to create lush, experimental folk songs.

Join us for a wild and wonderful evening of Nature Bingo with John Ball Zoo! On Thursday, October 17th, from 7-9pm, we’re bringing you 90 fascinating facts about local wildlife—animals, plants, and even fungi to match to a bingo card of your making. Featuring the stunningly strange early undersea films of French director Jean Painlevé projected all night.  The films will be accompanied by the live sounds of ARBORVITÆ, and Co-Pilot, as well as special DJ sets by Dreas, and Sometimes Sound. Expect magic moments of synchronization as beautiful ambient / trippy / jazzy / psychedelic sounds meet the extraordinary imagery of “Science Is Fiction: 23 Films by Jean Painlevé”.

Flylite Gemini has been making waves in the Michigan music scene with their high-energy live performances and unique sound.
