SEPTEMBER RELEASES:

Strawberry Incipient - Foeder Aged Solera Sour w/ Strawberries

The Number One Sour Beer in All the Land!! (of West Michigan — as voted on by readers of Revue magazine) gets a strawberry version!!!  We know Incipient is a standout sour.  So we were as excited as you are to learn it would become a canvas for strawberries to paint upon with their juice stained fingers.

The color of this beer will immediately make you think of those mini containers of strawberry jam you find in breakfast restaurants.  Deep and hazy orange red.  When you smell it you get complex wild ale aromas: hay, melon, field flowers filtered through a curtain of honey (pardon the floral language, but it’s true.)  Then you get the strawberry deluge!  This is no restaurant jam aroma, this is a lovely perfume of the first farmers market strawberries of the summer.

The pop of sour in Incipient is the first thing to hit your tongue.  Then it dances off along the walls of your cheeks and causes your mouth to water.  The flavor finishes slowly, spreading out over your tastebuds with sweet strawberry flesh.

(We get it — it sounds crazy and hyperbolic, but it’s not wrong.)

Get it.  Drink it.  — preferably while you eat chocolate and watch Primal.

Mutualism - Pastry Sour w/ Dark Sweet Cherries, Cocoa Nibs & Vanilla

Mutualism is a 7.6% sour ale made with dark sweet cherries from Michigan, cocoa nibs imported from Ghana, and Madagascar vanilla beans. Cherry and vanilla are prominent, with cocoa elements keeping everything else in check!  This well-balanced motherland masterpiece isn’t too sweet or tart. It's just dope.

Neontology - BA Sour Ale w/ Lime, Matcha, Passionfruit, and Vanilla

A Summer pastry sour?  A zippy wild ale posturing as a cocktail?  Some science reference we’re nerding out over again?

You can decide on the category to file this oddball under, but however you classify this release we bet it’s making some top 10s.

Golden Orange in color with the first sniffs proudly exhibiting lime and soft vanilla.  Digging your nose a little deeper in the glass reveals passion fruit boba and matcha mochi elements.  One sip in and we didn’t even have time to stop to take flavor notes before we were gulping down more.  Big zippy lime flesh is balanced by lush vanilla... Passionfruit and matcha add complexity without overwhelming and stealing the spotlight.  It’s one of those rare beers you can’t quite decide if you want to crush or linger on.  So you end up diving into both experiences.  And that is a very good thing.

Space Elevator - Hard Seltzer with Mango, Lime & Ginger

“Zingiberaceae” - that’s the scientific name for the ginger family of plants.  It’s a helluva word (now that you’ve said it a couple times, maybe even sounded it out)... and a helluva spice.  Zingiber Officinale is the full Latin for ginger, one of the world’s longest used and most sought after spices.  We’ve taken this magic root and anchored our Space Elevator seltzer to it.  Bold ginger dominates this dry and invigorating kveik fermented seltzer.  Zesty lime adds a platform of lifting acidity.  Mango ripens up the middle of the flavor experience... an ascending pod of lush fruit.

Though it was first imagined in the late 70s, the world has yet to see a Space Elevator become reality.  Don’t let that sad fact bring you down though - our Space Elevator is real and delicious.  Have one and ponder the cosmos... or have two or three with some friends on a patio or around a campfire and come up with a plan to ascend into space.  We will see you up there, and we’ll bring the refreshments.

$16/4 pack of 16oz cans - 5.4% abv
