Just by chance, we have 3 unique Laurentian blends available to the public this month!
If you aren't familiar with our Laurentian series, here's the gist: We partner with breweries near each Great Lake to brew the same recipe consisting of 100% MI malts and hops. We then cool each batch of wort overnight in an open vessel called a coolship. As the wort cools, it collects wild yeast and bacteria from the air. We then transfer the inoculated wort to oak barrels, where it ferments and ages for 1-4 years. The project is inspired by the lambic breweries in Europe, but with a modern Midwestern twist.
The Laurentian Series consists of blends of these barrels. Batches blended from multiple years of the same lake is called a "Lake ___ Cuvée" and blends of all 5 lakes is considered a "Cuvée Des Grands Lacs."
Pre-sales for the April release open Friday, 4/2 at noon and will close Tuesday, 4/6 at 6pm.

Exaptation - Spontaneous Amber Ale Aged in Norden Aquavit Barrels - A complex wild amber ale with layers of nordic botanicals and a slightly savory finish. $10/375ml bottle - 8% abv
The Laurentian Series: Michigan Cuvée - Blend of 2 and 3 year old spontaneous ale - Tasting notes: Bright, citrussy, lemonaid, classic lambic funk. $22/750ml bottle - 7% abv
The Laurentian Series: Michigan Honey Cuvée - Blend of 2 and 3 year old spontaneous sle with honey from Old Mission Peninsula - Slightly sweeter than our normal spon releases, with a beautiful vinous middle and aged hop finish. $24/750ml bottle - 9% abv
The Laurentian Series: Cuvée Des Grands Lacs DH w/ Chinook & Cascade - Blend of spontaneous ale coolshipped near each Great Lake. Tasting notes of Apricots, caramelized pineapple, grapefruit and a hint of pine. $26/750ml bottle - 7% abv
All orders placed for pick up will be available at our Wealthy Street taproom during normal taproom hours from 4/9 to 4/1. Simply show the bartender your ID, and they will grab your order. All orders will be pre-packed, so they will not take long to grab. If you are proxying for someone, please show the bartender both your ID and a picture of the ID of the person you are proxying for.
Delivery orders will be dropped off by our staff on the designated delivery day for your area. The driver will text you when they arrive. Please leave your desired package location in the notes section of the order.
