JUNE RELEASES:

Blood Orange Incipient - The closest thing we have to a flagship is Incipient - a golden sour wheat ale with a rotating fruit each month. This month’s version contains Blood Orange. This batch is quite sour and is the perfect summer poolside sipper. $8/16oz can.

Hackmatack - Sour Saison Aged in Traminette & Marsanne Orange Wine Barrels - This blend of barrels is a truly unique display of Michigan fruit and terroir. It starts with a saison brewed with Michigan grown malt and hops. We then aged it in two different Native Species orange wine barrels that used to contain MI grown Marsanne & Traminette. $8/375ml corked bottle.

All Together - Wild IPA DDH w/ Cascade & Mosaic - We brewed this global collaboration hosted by Other Half. Naturally, we teamed up with our buds at Rake Beer Project and Transient Artisan Ales to brew three different versions of the original recipe posted by Other Half. Our version is a Wild & Raw IPA, dry hopped with Cascade & Mosaic. If you like old school Genetic Drift, this is going to taste very similar, just a little hoppier. This is officially the smallest batch we’ve ever released, at just 45 gallons! We will be donating a portion of the proceeds to hospitality professionals in Grand Rapids. $6/16oz can.

Extremophile - Open Fermented Sour Ale With Maple Syrup, Molasses, Blueberry, Vanilla, Cinnamon & Peanut Butter... Speciation Artisan Ales usually creates wild ales intended to be a reflection of nature’s diversity, but this time we decided to go off the rails. We started with an open fermented sour ale, and then layered in 4-5 times our normal amount of fruit and adjuncts to create this smoothie inspired beer. $12/375ml bottle.

Launch Loop - Kveik Fermented Hard Seltzer with Tart Cherries, Lemon zest, Lime zest & Coriander. Hopefully we have launched your expectations to outer space by now with our spacefaring themed seltzers. $12/4 pack of 16oz cans.

Seyval Blanc Pét-Nat - We are SO EXCITED about this bubbly wine. Our first ever pétillant natural wine was made with traditional methods: by foot crushing locally grown grapes and fermenting with the wild yeast on the skins. We then bottled the wine before fermentation was complete, allowing the wine to carbonate naturally. After carbonation, we then disgorged the yeast out of the bottles by hand. This involves flipping bottles upside down for days to riddle the yeast into the neck of the bottle. After the yeast has compacted in the necks of the bottles, we then pop the top to blow the yeast out, top up each bottle, and then re-cap. As you can imagine, this method of creating bubbly wine is incredibly risky and labor intensive. If you don’t bottle it at the perfect time, you could end up with something way too carbonated, or even flat (we call those Pét-Not’s). Luckily, we nailed it. This wine is as complex as any spontaneous beer we’ve released, but it’s also very accessible. $22/750ml bottle.

Other Goodies:

Laurentian: Erie - Spontaneously fermented Sour Ale - Brewed at HOMES in Ann Arbor, MI on April 11, 2018. Only 396 bottles in existence. $32/750ml bottle.

Native Species Orange Piquette - The baby of our Pét-Nat. A delicious spontaneously fermented wine spritzer! $14/4pack.
