NOVEMBER RELEASES:

Cranberry Incipient - Foeder Aged Solera Sour Wheat Ale with Cranberry - 6.5% abv - Our golden sour wheat ale, Incipient is made in a very large oak barrel called a foeder (food-er). We call it a solera blend because it’s a perpetually blended ale - each month we pull 1/5 of its contents, and top up with freshly brewed beer. This means that a portion of every single batch of Incipient that we’ve ever brewed is in this barrel, going back over 3 years! This creates an incredibly complex and layed base beer, to which we add a different single fruit or spice to each month. $8/16oz can - 1488 cans produced - Statewide distribution

Magic Trait - Bourbon BA Sour w/ Blackberries & Blackcurrants - 7.5% abv - Magic Trait is one of our most popular beers ever, and this time we decided to throw it in some bourbon barrels for some added depth of flavor. Like all our beers, each blend is slightly different, but Magic Trait has seen the most variations. The first blend was open fermented and aged in stainless steel. The second blend was aged in wine barrels. The third blend saw the addition of blueberries. The fourth blend was a mish-mash of our favorite barrels of base beer. The fifth blend was bottled with a hint of residual sweetness. We hope y’all enjoy this 6th variation on a theme. $12/375ml bottle - 756 bottles produced - Limited statewide distribution.

March of Progress - Foeder Aged Solera Sour Ale with Cinnamon, Rhubarb & Vanilla - Another classic blend from the vaults returns! This time we tweaked the recipe with the addition of cinnamon. This is straight up rhubarb crisp. Don’t be afraid of the cinnamon, it’s an excellent addition to the rhubarb and vanilla. $12/375ml bottle - 732 bottles produced - Limited statewide distribution.

Gin BA Genetic Drift - Eastern Kille Gin Barrel Aged Wild Ale - Aged for over 2 years in a single Eastern Kille Gin barrel - Somehow, deep in our stacks of barrels, this one went unnoticed. After tasting it this fall, we knew it was time. You will barely recognise this as Genetic Drift after extensive aging, this beer has transformed into something different. It’s incredibly complex and layered, with notes of oak, juniper, sage, light funk, and light acidity. Only 240 bottles exist. $10/375ml bottle - No distribution.

OMENS - Carbonic La Crescent Nouveau Orange Wine - Every third Thursday of the year is known around the world for Beaujolais Nouveau day. Wineries release wines that were made fresh from the vines just months or sometimes weeks before the release. Think fresh, juicy, unaged wines. This year we’ve created two wines in this style. OMENS was made from a delightful cold hardy white hybrid grape called La Crescent, which is a high acid grape with a great balance of tropical fruit, floral notes, and the tiniest hint of lambic-esque funk. This wine is hazy and unfiltered. Serve chilled for maximum enjoyment. $15/750ml - 288 bottles produced - Extremely limited distribution.

EMBERS - Carbonic Marquette Nouveau Red Wine - The second of our Elder themed nouveau releases is EMBERS. For this juicy, crushable, and chillable red wine, we used a fantastic hybrid grape related to Pinot Noir called Marquette. Marquette grows very well in the frigid North, and is a great example of what can be done with hybrid grapes in Michigan. Usually winemakers age their Marquette wines in oak barrels for extended periods of time, but we decided to show another side of the grape that can be achieved through a quick carbonic fermentation and no contact with oak. $15/750ml - 288 bottles produced - Extremely limited distribution.
